Graphite on Paper.
42cm x 60cm.

The recurring theme of gloss paint was explored further here, this time with a newly discovered material to the artist. The graphite pencil has a natural shine that Rowell has not yet given an opportunity to blossom. One singular graphite pencil was used here continually until there was simply nothing left. The extraction of colour from the pencil was given continual layers that destroyed the surface to a point of no return and in doing so, there was an opportunity to present the medium in a new format.
