Black is often referred to as a colour that absorbs all surrounding objects, however in painting it can offer a chance for sustainability and harmony. The painting is initially painted with a vibrant colour added in a random format that looks to remove the viewer’s concentration and leaves the eye easily confused. The chaotic surrounding colour uses the grid like nature of the black geometric shapes to calm the work in a manner that leaves the viewer craving the unknown.
